Event Schedule Overview

This is a five day event, June 12-16, 2013

Arrival and escort starts at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 12.

Viewing starts 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, ends 3:00 pm Sunday, June 16. Viewing will be free and open to the public 24 hours a day. Name locators, medical help and chaplains available wii be available. The site will be handicapped ADA accessible.

Program Schedule – Basic Outline

Wednesday, June 12 – See current specifics of the program.

Kick off of event, the  AVTT Traveling Wall arrives in St. Louis and will be escorted in motorcade from Watson and Grant Roads in Crestwood to the set up site at Lindbergh High School. See more about participating in the escort. See more about viewing the escort.

Thursday, June 13 – See current specifics of the program.

The  AVTT Traveling Wall will be assembled and later in the day the site will open to visits from the public. The approximate time for viewing to start is 1:00 pm. The site will be open 24 hours a day from the 13th to the closing on the 16th at 3:00 pm.

There will be a public program of speakers and ceremony at about 6:00 to last about 30 to 60 minutes. The Master of Ceremonies will be Don Corrigan of the South County Times. The color guard will be by the Marine Corps League. Program and ceremony to be held outdoors in front of the AVTT Traveling Wall.

Friday, June 14 – See current specifics of the program.

The site will be open to visits from the public all day and night.

There will be a public program of speakers and ceremony at about 6:00 to last about 30 to 60 minutes. The color guard will be by the American Legion Post 208, 10th district. Program and ceremony to be held in the Lindbergh High School auditorium immediately adjacent to the site.

Saturday, June 15 – See current specifics of the program.

The site will be open to visits from the public all day and night. There will be a public program of speakers and ceremony at about 6:00 to last about 30 to 60 minutes. The color guard will be by theAmerican Legion Post 162. Program and ceremony to be held in the Lindbergh High School auditorium immediately adjacent to the site.

Sunday, June 16 – See current specifics of the program.

The site will be open to visits from the public all day and night.

There will be a public program of speakers and ceremony at about noon to last about 30 to 60 minutes. The color guard will be by the Mid Rivers Chapter 458. Program and ceremony to be held outdoors in front of AVTT Traveling Wall.

The site will close mid afternoon at 3:00 pm for disassembly.
